Booking

How do I sign up?

You can book any class using our free app for ios & android or by logging into our website. Once you create an account, you’re able to sign up for a class.

What is the booking window for a class?

Classes open Sundays at noon for Monday through Sunday.

Can I book for another rider?

Yes, single credits can be purchased and used to book for another rider. If its the riders first time, they must book themselves.

What if the class is full when I go to book?

If the class is full, you can opt to be added to the waitlist. Once you’ve been added to the class from the waitlist, you’re required to observe the studios cancellation policy. If a spot does not become available by the start of the class and you do not make it off of the waitlist, the credit will be returned to your account.

Is there a penalty to cancelling a class?

To avoid a penalty, classes must be canceled by 5pm the day before the class. If you cancel after 5 or no show, you will lose your class credit and be charged a $15 late cancellation/no show fee.

What happens if the instructor changes at the last minute?

At Beat Bar, we strive to provide consistency in your ride, but unforeseen circumstances may require us to make last-minute instructor changes. While we understand this can be disappointing, instructor changes do not qualify for an automatic full class credit, but you will be credited $5 towards your next ride.

To accommodate the needs of our riders, we are happy to offer same-day class changes without penalty.

How do I set up my bike?

Bike Safety Instructions

Setting Up & Clipping In
Our bikes are custom designed to fit everyone and every body type. However, proper set up in your bike is an important part of your experience and will help keep you safe. A member of our studio team will assist you with adjusting the handlebar height and depth, and seat height and distance. We strongly recommend that prior to class you also familiarize yourself with these bike setup instructions. If you are not familiar with how to connect your shoes to the pedals, please ask for help. At the end of the ride, safely unclip your shoes from the pedal (or un-velcro your feet from the shoes if you do not feel comfortable or do not know how to safely unclip). Please remember that cycling shoes are not intended for walking, so they should be removed prior to exiting the studio.

 Saddle Height

  1. Loosen the knob at the base of the saddle by turning it counterclockwise.
  2. Pull the knob and slide the saddle to the top of your hip bone.
  3. Release the knob and turn it clockwise to securely tighten and lock in place.
  4. Double check the height of your seat by making sure there’s a slight bend in your knees as you ride.
  5. If your hips are rocking side to side to side in the saddle, your seat is too high.
  6. If your knees flare out to the side as you are riding, your seat is too low.

Handlebar Height

  1. Using the knob on the front of the bike, adjust the height of your handlebars until they are either parallel to or just above your seat.
  2. Turn the knob clockwise to securely tighten and lock in place.

Clipping In and Out

  1. To clip in, slide your shoe forward over the pedal and push down on your heel until you hear a click.
  2. To clip out, slide your heel away from the bike.

Saddle Depth

  1. Measure from your elbow with extended fingertips plus a fist from the handlebar to the edge of the saddle.
  2. Turn the knob behind the saddle counterclockwise and slide the saddle into place.
  3. Turn the knob clockwise to securely tighten and lock in place.
  4. Double check the depth of your seat by stopping your feet in the 3 o’clock and 9 o’clock positions. Focusing on the foot that is rotated towards the front of your bike, your knees should be sitting directly over your ankle.

Handlebar Depth

  • Turn the knob counterclockwise to loosen and then slide the handlebars into place.
  • Turn the knob clockwise to securely tighten and lock in place.

Resistance Knob

  1. To take resistance off, turn the knob to the left.
  2. To add resistance, turn the knob to the right.
  3. Emergency brake – If at any time you need to stop while you’re clipped in, push down on the resistance knob, and your wheel will immediately stop turning.

Listen To Your Body

Ride at your own pace. Your safety comes first. If at any time you feel uncomfortable, take a break. No pressure! Be sure to stay well-hydrated before, throughout, and after class. Water is available to purchase at the front desk.  If the music volume is too loud, we have ear plugs available for use at the front desk. If you need to leave class, please alert your instructor, safely unclip your shoes and a member of our studio crew will assist you if you cannot safely exit on your own.

Weights

Our arms section includes light hand weights. Weights are located behind you, just below your seat. It is important to slowly lower and regulate your heart rate BEFORE stopping your legs during this section of the class.

What should I wear?

We recommend comfortable clothes, medium to high impact, designed for exercise.

What should I bring to class?

A towel will be provided, just bring water and a positive attitude! (don’t worry, if you forget your water, we sell it at the front desk.)

Do you have showers?

No, Beat Bar does not have showers.

I’m new to ride, will I be able to do it?

Our rides are programmed for all ages and fitness levels. Although some classes may be more challenging than others, you have the ability to make each ride your own by deciding what is best for your body. If you have any injuries or physical concerns, please inform your instructor before class so that they can give you advice on modifications to fit your physical needs. It’s your ride, and we want you to have the best experience possible.

What is common etiquette at the studio?

  • Please do not bring cell phones into class.
  • Please switch any smart watches, fitness trackers, etc. that light up or make sounds into theater mode or do not disturb. These can be distracting to the instructor and other riders.
  • Please tell the instructor ahead of time if you must leave class early for any reason.
  • If you cannot stay for the duration of the end of ride stretch, please exit the class promptly at the end of the last song.
  • Please be mindful of each other and the studio. This means being respectful of the instructor and other riders by not speaking while not speaking while class is in session.
  • We all love a good sweat! But we need to be considerate of others by making sure our clothes are clean and being mindful of strong perfumes and body odor.
  • There may be times when you are not able to follow along with the instructor’s choreography, but we ask that you do not improvise with your own. This can be a distraction to the other riders.
